Campaign face: Paul Mercurio is the face of the New England North West Tourism campaign, launched last week at Tamworth’s Big Golden Guitar tourist centre.
A SMARTPHONE app featuring television personality Paul Mercurio as the face of New England North West Tourism’s autumn marketing campaign was launched last week at Tam-worth’s Big Golden Guitar tourist centre.
With marketing buzzwords such as “staycation”, “storylines” and “footprint” featuring in their speeches, MPs and marketing gurus took the floor at the launch to announce the second phase of the campaign.
NENW Tourism chairman Les Parsons said the $220,000 campaign was aimed at the selfdrive market. Despite describing himself as “app ignorant”, he hoped everyone including grey nomads would embrace the new technology.
Way to go!

Where Home and Away is filmed and home to many famous people and someone very special to me “My Mum” she is about to have her 50th Birthday on the 7th May and I would love to chat to you about a surprise for her… You!! She is your biggest fan and watching every episode of Mercurios Menu is an absolute must for her. She even records your show so she can watch it again later. She loves your cooking, your humour and your love for beer with your meals.
My mum is also a cook, having run and owned cafe’s and catering business’s she really has a passion for food and is fantastic! She also has everything she ever wanted … except one thing…to meet you! I want to go one better and have you come and cook for her and all her friends for her birthday(can be after, when ever the time is best for you) We have a waterfront property and would be top for filming and exposing Palm Beach for all the wonders it has to offer. However I would be more than pleased to have you without the film crew and all to herself! I will supply all the ingredients you need ( quality produce) Everything you need to cook on/with, Accommodation, and I will pay for your return flight from Melbourne and have a huge selection of beers for you to drink … Please Please Please can you do this for me. My mum is such a wonderful lady , fantastic mum and is always doing everything for everybody else. It’s her turn to be treated like a princess for a day and you are just the man for the job!! ( don’t tell my dad. lol)

Changed up the trandition. Instead of sports……. We watched JOSEPH starring my buddy Paul Mercurio during Easter dinner. I found it much more appropriate. Shout out to you Paul and Happy Easter to you and your family. It should be 1am Monday morning right now in Australia, Any chance Erin got a PUG in her Easter basket???

Nice to know there are other folks out there (Paul included) that are “app ignorant”. I switched out my phone last fall and I’m sure I’m not using even 1/10 of what it’s capable of.
Adding wishes for a Happy Easter season, or a blessed Passover, and/or a very Happy Spring for our northern hemisphere PCs and fall for our southern hemisphere PCs!
