Todays Recipe

Tapenade

 

350g pitted kalamata olives

3 – 4 anchovies – chopped (start with 3 and add another if you feel it needs it)

3 medium sized cloves of garlic – crushed

2 tablespoons of salted capers – rinsed and dried

1 tablespoon of lemon thyme

2 tablespoons of sherry vinegar

3 tablespoons of olive oil

 

Put everything into a food processor and blitz until it is a paste.

 

Makes approx 2 cups

Have on biscuits or toast with a cold ale!

 

Keep in an air tight jar in the fridge for about 7 or so days.

    Hi Andrea thanks for saying hello! I have been lucky to have travelled to South America a couple of times but sadly not to Chile! I do love the food of South America but would love to learn more about it. Thank the internet to help us with that!!!

    I happily came across one of your books. Recipes are good & easy to follow, then I realized where I got that sense of “I know him from somewhere” I moved to Los Angeles to pursue my acting career from Wind River Reservation, I’m Assiniboine-Blackfeet Native American. It was a very difficult, sad, hard time for me then, away from home with a Dream. A nice man named Bob Hicks befriended me. He was Native American too. He would take me to movies~foreign independent films & taught me the ways of in this city. Like I said it was a difficult time but the brightest day & now memory was when he took me to see Strictly Ballroom! I had the Best Day! And we would go eat around LA!
    I still do my acting & Native American beadwork & I like to find different things to make to eat. It’s cool to impress relatives with my little kitchen skills. I still live in the LA CA area.
    My friend Bob Hicks recently passed away though, he successfully wrote a film & play to be performed in Washington DC & his film documentary made it too…I would like to think from the SKY he brought me full circle back to that happy memory of that day watching happily at your movie & to look at this book *smiles & tear* You are happiest & do prosper when you follow the Dreams & Love of your Heart.
    I know my story is long here, you’re an amazing dancer & talent.
