Life could go any way
in this next moment
that ages past
life could change
has changed
will again
ever changing
in this next moment
the breath will expel
unforseen and unknown
leaving in its wake
hindsight
but not understanding
knowledge yet to learn
memories yet to lose
in that moment past
yet to come
I live

I ask there fore
what is it I seek
in tomorrows past
and yesterdays future
that I cannot find
in this moment
now

the wave crosses the sea
reaching for a destination
not understanding which direction
feeling strongly the compulsion
knowing only the truth of living
in a mass of other waves
all reaching for a shore
without proof of it's existance.

Was it right for me to show up on that door step?
I thought I was taking him from his misery
He sat and held me and asked, Is this destiny?
Was it right for me to stay there?
The past tried to break us- but to no avail
His love he promised it would never fail
Was it right for me to expect perfection?
This would be a very complex relationship
He reassured and comforted me-
everything would fit
Was it right for me to become so ill tempered?
This is not the direction to go toward
He said be honest and we shall go forward
Was it right for me to give him that ultimatum?
I can recount all the troubles -
and all the stormy weather
He can only tell me that no matter what
we will always be together
Now this is my conclusion:
A light of truth shines
thru all of this delusion
He was always right.

Dear Paul,
For the past hour, I've typed up my poem. Tell me what you think of it.
RACHEL, GUARDIAN OF JERUSALEM
By: Sara Westermeier
Rachel, the mother of Joseph and Benjamin, watches over the city of Jerusalem.
Jerusalem is God’s Holy Place and Israel her children.
But still, there are cries from Rachel’s children within God’s Holy Place.
Devastation and fear arises. The children cry from within Jerusalem’s Walls.
Rachel walked down from the Valleys of Hebron to her God’s Holy Place.
She suddenly fell to her knees and covered her face with her hands.
Rachel, seeing the persecution of her children, began to weep.
She cried, “God, please save my children from the heathens. Please send them a savior,” Rachel moaned in agony. Her moans and groans were as if Rachel was having birth pains.
Tears fell from Rachel’s face. These tears are the souls that were killed during the battle between good and evil. Her cries are like the many people who constantly pray for deliverance and for the peace of Jerusalem. The birth pains are like the sufferings that we share today.
Then, a glimmer of light shone above Rachel who was the Guardian of all of her children.
From the light, a voice said, “Rachel, Rachel, wherefore art thou weeping, my child?”
Rachel replied, “I am weeping because of the constant persecution of my children, and for the destruction of the Holy Place. Oh God, how can I even bear to see the fear on my children’s face?”
The voice then said, “I have heard the cries of you and your children. Fear not, for I will send your children a savior and His Kingdom will be set up in Jerusalem. His kingdom shall last forever. I will always be your children’s God, for I will establish my everlasting covenant with Israel. I am the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”
Rachel began to rejoice, for she knew of the promises of the Lord God of Israel. Rachel, the faithful Guardian of Jerusalem and the land of Israel.
The reason I wrote that poem is because I have a love for the Jewish people in Israel. Because of the fighting between Palestine and Israel, we must continue to pray for the peace in Jerusalem.
