Ok, news in the states is Steve Irwin was filiming underwater documentary and was killed by a stingray. A stingray barb went through his chest. So very sad. How can I cry over someone I never knew? The world will never be the same.

Paul,

Beautiful photo of you and your girls. Absolutly beautiful.

How about one on Mothers day with Andrea and the girls?

Kelly

Yes it is a very sad thing. I have just heard on the radio that the barb went in to his heart. He was a father of two. He was someone that was famous for his toughness, not afraid to get in close with wild animals - I am so very sorry it caught up with him. I am very sorry for his family.

That said I was wanting to celebrate my beautiful daughters and my father hood with you all - things can change in an instant. It proves you should never take anything for granted, always say I love you and remember to give thanks.

Lucky father, lucky daughters! It's a portrait that just oozes pride and love!

Paul, They are lovely ladies! Your youngest looks a lot like you (in my unsolicited opinion). We can never get a family picture, someone is always making someone else laugh, or make the photographer laugh. Once, one said something very astute and deep and confusing, that just made us all have a very quizzical look, which made a great look, and we actually took that one home.

Lovely photo Paul.

I understand what you mean, Kelly but Steve was a great man and will be sadly missed

What a tragedy, Steve Irwin. He was a wonderful environmentalist and cared about creatures all around the world. He would have not died any other way that doing what he loved to do best.

My prayers are with his family.

Take care,
Love to all,
Marge

Such a nice picture! Your family is very photogenic; i love it how you and your youngest share the same happy, peaceful expression.
Very sad to hear about Steve Irwin. Is he the mad crocodile guy or someone else? (I mean mad in a nice way!)
Love and prayers, take care everyone x

Beautiful picture of you and your daughters, Paul!
Happy Father's Day!
First thing I saw online this morning was the news about Steve; his enthusiasm will be sorely missed, and my heart goes out to his family.
"It proves you should never take anything for granted, always say I love you . . . " someone very wise said that once, and they are words to live by.

That picture is so uplifting and sweet to see. Especially since I just heard of Steve Irwin's death and I'm sure it's been very upsetting to all of you in Austrailia. It's upsetting here too but Austrailia is like a land of OZ and to lose one of your own so suddenly is I would think very devasting.
Lots of luv to you and your family Paul :)

Yes Nadia, he was THE CROCODILE HUNTER, he had shows called THE CROCODILE HUNTER, THE CROC FILES, and many other specials.

My father was the presedent of a conservation club growing up. I grew up learning the way of the land and to respect animals always. Only hunt and kill when in need of food, not trophy.

I always loved his theries about wildlife and habitat. I repected his knowledge very much.
Not something I have gotten from my Dad in the last 6 years since he has had several strokes.

At any rate...... Paul, I agree you can never take anything for granted. Thats why when I leave anywere I usually hug and kiss everyone and tell them I love them just in case something happens. I have always been that way.

Paul, how is your cooking show going? Wish we could get it in the states. We cant even order Australian tv with satalite. We can get every asian channel in history but not Australia. My Mother-in-Law gets the Japan channel, so I can say that!!! I married an Asian!! anyway

If anyone out there knows how I can get Austraia in the states. let me know.

Love to all

You have such a beautiful family! Surrounded by beauty, truly a man to be envied!

On a sad note... I too have heard the news about Steve Irwin. He never failed to amuse and inform me during the countless hours I viewed his programs. Indeed, he will be missed very much. My heart goes out to his dear little children and his wife who must be devastated by his loss. It is so sad.

Paul,
What a lovely picture of you and you girls. I started seeing pictures of them when Erin was just a baby. It's been wonderful to watch them grow up.

I have to share this with everyone. My Son-in-Law, Jeff, is in the Navy on assignment in Bahrain. Bahrain is on the island of Bahrain. I just found out that he has rented his own place, instead of staying on the base. Get this! He has rented a three bedroom villa, complete with tile floors throughout, a swimming pool and maid service. Ane they said military life was tough. Fortunately he is not very close to what's going on in Irac.

Take

Posted by: marge on September 5, 2006 12:41 PMfrom IP: 4.178.27.26

Bahrain! How little often that place comes up in conversation. Brings me in mind of a conversation I had with friends recently. My friend Lisa was born in Bahrain to Scottish and English parents but was brought up here in Scotland. We were talking about things like racism particularly the BNP (British National Party) and how ridiculous it was. Someone pointed out that if you looked at it from the point of view of where we were born instead of our ethnic origin than I (parents from Pakistan) would be fine and it would be Lisa that they would be screaming at to go home! Not that anyone's ever screamed at me to go home thank god, but it's awful that it happens at all...
Anyway, totally diferent subject I know, but that's what i started thinking of.
I'm sure that your son-in-law is enjoying the pool and maid service Marge! Kelly, thank you for telling me a bit more about Steve.

love and prayers,
take care everyone x

HELLO PC FRIENDS,

What tragic news about Steve Irwin-it was shocking and sad. I will always remember him fondly. My sympathies to his family.

PAUL-Thank you for sharing such a lovely picture. I keep pictures of my girls on my desk, I have one of me and my husband. And, today, I put one of just my husband up-I think he's the greatest thing since sliced bread and I know our 3 girls feel the same way. Seeing you with your girls put a lump in my throat-it reminded me so much of how my husband is with our 3. I'm always in awe of my family!!

HUGS!

What a suprise to see this great picture! Thank you for sharing with all of us on the corner here. The girls look great!

I have a question for the Big Kahoona (hopefully Cat won't mind putting this on). I do have an idea for a TV series that I'd been trying to put together for a few months now and I'm going to go ahead and attempt to write the first episode.

Paul, when I do finish putting it together would you mind taking a look at it?

I just heard about Steve Irwin were have I been(I have to admit I didn't read the previous posts before I posted mine so I missed it earlier)

He will surely be missed by me. I was a big fan of his. I'm still in shock.

I love the picture, Paul. And yes,I've heard that Steve Irwin died. It's very sad. I prayed for Terri Irwin. I hope she is strong enough to raise two kids on her own. In my opinion, I feel that they need a new father to look up to. I hope your father is doing all right. Happy belated father's day, Paul.

Happy Father's Day, Paul. You have everything any man could ever want!

Paul, what an awesome picture of you and your sweet girls. I can see such great love in the body language. Hold on to that little girl as long as you can! ;)

On a serious note, Steve Irwin was wildly loved in the U.S. We are all so very sorry to lose him.

His little ones will have to go on now without him present for their eyes and arms to see and feel.

Those of us who are still lucky enough to be around for our families, must never forget or take for granted this blessing.

I can see by looking at this beautiful picture of you and your family, that you are very grateful to have each other.

Happy Father's Day Paul!

Dear Paul,

I was so sorry to hear about Peter Brock's death today. Knowing you to be a racing fan, I know it must be yet another blow, it's definitely been a week of shock for Aussies.

Hi Paul,
Happy belated Dad's Day!! You look so content in the pic with your girls. How lucky you are to have one another, & the body language exudes love. Hope Connie is feeling better.

I hold you & Michael in a safe part of my heart. A friend of mine just lost her 26 year old daughter to suicide from a major drug overdose. this was not her first attempt. Mom is so broken that it hurts to look at her. She brought her beloved child to the inpatient hospice I work at, and this tormented child past peacefully after a few hours with all who loved her present.

As many of you here know, my precious son has had schizophrenia since he was 18. Mental illness is a truly terrible thing, & suicide in this illness is higher than others because of command hallucinations to kill themselves. I told him of the above child's story, and asked him never to leave me a broken mom. I would never survive it as I wouldn't want to. His response was "I won't Mom." But my thoughts of this happening have been ever present since his diagnosis. Fear such as this is a terrible thing to live with. And life goes on.

Miss Ev: Hope you and your sister are doing well.

Gran Mil & E. C.: I think of you both very often. I hope your family in Israel are safe as I was very concerned for their welfare.

Miss Diane: I'm a hospice nurse. So, you go girl, & go back to school.

My talent?? I'm a Catholic school survivor, so I'm a great speller!!

Fantasy Job: Working for the History Channel, or better yet I would be a military history teacher at a military academy. Yep, me & 3,000 men!! That would make my life just about perfection.

Till next time,
Head up, elbows high, and feet moving forward.

Cat! You rock for posting my entry without my email address! :)

I think if I try to preview and then get side tracked and go back to it and try to send it, it erases my contact info. I'll try to be more careful.

Thanks!

The most compelling experience of my life was to finally have a day off from work....i am English and 36 years of age, but i have lived and worked in southern Spain for 16 years now. One recent Sunday on Spanish TV was announced "Joseph" ...i watched this film half-asleep until my eyes were forced to awake through the most amazing guy to have hit the screen for many years....watching in Spanish, i had no clue to your name nor nationality...only an affinity lay whereupon i find that you are a "sqaured away guy whose precious family ethic remains a top priority and i acknowledge this as well as your professional talent. Sometimes without looking for things, we trip on something quite amazing and i am sure that from that recent Sunday, the message from the Biblical theme and your handsome figure has marked an amazing mark on my self, even after all these years. My daughter Lorena Maria, 8, is bilingual Spanish and English and we commend you both professionally and personally. We wish all your dreams come true for the New year and that the festive season is full of cheer and joy with close family and friends. The doors are open for you to come to magic and culture of Granada and Almeria provinces in southern Spain's Andalusia.
